Day out without dragons

We have been out for the day today. We were going to have breakfast at the OK Diner last weekend but mummy was poorly and so she didn't want to eat anything for TWO WHOLE DAYS and that's not like her.

But anyway she was feeling better today and it is Unclclelcle Kevin's birthday soon and he had a voucher for a milkshake and so we went to see our friends at the diner.

We are very lucky because the diner is near where we live and so we can have burgers and curly fries and things like that any time we like (except when mummy isn't well) but this morning we had breakfasty things.

There were fried eggs and bacon and hash browns and pancakes and syrup and coffee and Uncleclecle Kevin had sausages too but he didn't have pancakes. He had a HUGE milkshake though, and it had banana in it but he let us have some of the lumpy bits from the bottom because they get stuck up the straw if you try to suck them.

When we had finished breakfast we went to Birmingham because they were having a special event because a man wrote a book about elves and hobbits a long time ago and there were people dressed up in silly costumes and pointy ears and stuff and they said there would be dragons but we didn't see very many. In fact I think we were the only ones there.

We found a picture of one that was on a thing called a barefoot walk. People were walking along this thing that had all different surfaces on it like mats and sand and pebbles and it said that it was good for you but I don't know what all the fuss was about because we never wear shoes and we are always barefoot. Maybe that was why there was a picture of a dragon on it.

When we realised there weren't any proper dragons mummy was a bit disappointed and so were we but we decided to make it right and we bought mummy a present. It was a bookmark with a dragon on it and she likes bookmarks. It's a very elegant looking dragon and I wish I could be like that sometimes but mummy says I'm cute and that's better than elegant.

We have had a nice day

We've had a really nice day today. First of all me and Moo got dressed up as Santas. He's got a full Santa outfit including welly boots but I wore my Christmas jumper and a hat.
First of all we went to do some shopping at our favourite farm shop at Denstone. Mummy wanted to get some bacon and some sausages for Christmas.

We went to the cafe and had a mince pie. It was yummy. We had hot chocolate too.

And then we went and met Santa! How cool is that? We told him we'd been good and he said we could have nice stuff when he comes to see us down our chimney. He told us a story about a brave man who rescued some sailors from drowning who's going to get a medal.

And then to top it off we got to go for a burger at our local diner and we introduced Dewi to curly fries. He'd never had them before. What a lovely time we had!

Birthday party!

It's our birthday on Tuesday so Mummy said we could have a party today. She took us to our favourite diner and we had burgers and stuff. Nice Mrs Trish who owns the diner even brought us cakes with candles on and lollies in and everything.

I got a lovely new badge and a model dragon and Bamburgh got a new sparkly black waistcoat and a torch.

Everybody came to the party.

Yuletide preparations

We've been getting ready for Yule and we've been helping with decorations and wrapping pressies and things. As a special treat Unclclcelcele Kevin took us to our favourite diner because we've been good.

We got given some crackers.

Inside there were jokes and pressies and party hats.

Moo was given a balloon too!

Been painting again

I've been having a go at Wanda's Art Challenge again. I tried last week's but it was a horse and it was VERY HARD so I didn't show it to anyone. But this week it was lots of nice birds. We have been out to a farm place today and seen lots of nice birds and I thought I would like to paint one when I got home.

This is a White Crown Sparrow. I think they are American birds because I have never seen a blue sparrow before.

On the way home from the farm place we stopped off for stuff to eat at the diner. We had nunnion rings. Bamburgh loves nunnion rings.

We went to a toilet museum!

We went out yesterday to go to the diner but we got there early and so we had to go and have a look round the town. Mummy said we had to do history and we were a bit upset till we found out it was the history of toilets! They used to make them near where the diner is. Whoever knew that?
They made them in these funny looking buildings that are made out of bricks but are cone shaped and the museum is inside one of them.

They made all sorts of other things in the cone building too. We found this HUGE stripy teapot but there wasn't any tea in it.

Birthday Fun

It's our birthday tomorrow. All dragons have their birthday at Midsummer so me and Bamburgh share our birthday. Mummy has to work tomorrow so we went out to celebrate yesterday. We knew that the place was dragon friendly when we found this emblem near the entrance.

We were going to have a boat ride and we all got dressed up like narrowboat people with shirts and waistcoats and neckerchiefs. But when we got there the boat was in but the boat driver wasn't well. We all had our photo taken in front of the boat and we wished the driver to be well soon and then we went off to our favourite diner for a burger and treats!

Mister James came to our birthday party and he brought Orange Bun with him. Orange is a Warren Bunny like Aubrey and Barry but he hasn't lived with Mister James for long yet so he still hasn't said what his name really is. Aubrey was good about his name and told us straight away but Barry took a little while. Bunnies are a bit cautious that way.

We had the HUGE hot dog and it was so big that we couldn't even reach the ends of it!

And to round off the great meal we got a lovely cake from Mrs Trish. It had a candle and a lolly in it and it was all choclately.
We had a really good birthday.

We've been camping

We've been camping. Mummy said she wanted to try out the tent to make sure that everything still worked properly so we went away but not very far. It was a lovely place and it was REALLY close to our favourite diner.

So we got to go camping and to have brilliant food. We went to see Trish and Chef Jeff and we had burgers then we were allowed to have a choice from the milkshake menu.

We chose a special one made with Reese's peanut butter cups. They are really yummy.

While we were waiting for the milkshake Trish brought us some special chocolate that we could share. Then we had the shake. It was HUGE. It was so big that I had to sit on top of the napkin dispenser to drink it. It took Bamburgh ages to climb up but I left him some milkshake.
