Portrait of Moo

I have been doing some painting again. Nice Mrs Wanda has set another art challenge and it's a cow. You all know that my cousins are cows. Well I decided I would paint my cousin Moo in watercolours.

First of all I sketched him and then I did the washes. That means doing the painting in really thin paint first so you get the colours right. It's the most difficult bit but it's the most important too.



This is Moo so you can compare him with the picture. He likes it and I think it looks quite like him.



And here's the finished picture. Moo says I have to frame it so Mummy will put it on the wall but I think that's just because he thinks his picture should be on display!

Arty stuff

We went to Lester to the big botanical gardens where they have sculpture things. We like looking at arty stuff. Mummy takes us there every year and we are allowed to climb on the sculptures because they are all outside and not museumy. We get the chance to look at all the nice flowers too because it is a big garden with special kinds of plants in it.

Then we have a picnic. This year we had sammiches and pork pie and pop and crisps. It was good.

I am a hontrapannuer

You might not know but I do some art and I have been doing portraits of some of our teddy bear friends lately so Mummy said that people might like to see them and maybe even buy them. So I have been very brave and I have set up a shop.

I really hope that some people will like my things enough to buy them. I'm very nervous. I've only ever drawn things for friends before.
