We got a parcel!

We were really surprised tonight because we got a parcel through the post and we found it behind the door when we got in. It was brown and addressed to me and so I called all the other dragons to see what it might be.

Dewi said it had Welsh words on it to do with the post office and he said it must have come from Wales so we got really excited about it. Mummy helped us to undo it because it was wrapped up dead well.

When we got into it we found lots of stuff from our bestest Dragon Buddy Llechi who lives in Wales. He calls it Cymru though because he is bilingual. That means he talks English and Welsh and he is really clever.

He lives down a slate mine and he sent us pictures of it that were really funny. They had cartoons of old stuff down the mine. We laughed.

And there was a puzzle book that we have packed already to go on holiday because Mummy says the weatherman says it might rain a bit so we might have to find stuff to do indoors.

There were two teddy bears as well. One of them was a panda and the other was a monkey and so Dexter and Dewi got them because they don't have teddy bears yet. Wasn't it clever of Llechi to send them some?

Mummy and Unclclele Kevin got a card from Auntie Kakabel too. That was kind of her to remember Mummy and Uncncnclele Kevin. Mummy says to say thank you.

Dragonfest Two

We went back to Welsh Wales and had a weekend at a place called CarandVan that had a HUGE castle that we went round.

On the way there we stopped off at Llechi's mine and had a mini dragonfest. We met all his family this time and there are almost as many of them as there are of us. Even counting the cows! Llechi's Human asked mummy if we could adopt a new dragon because she had found one in a shop and he was the last one there and was very lonely. She said she knew he would have a good life with us and so we have a new brother and he's called Dewi and he's still a bit shy. Bamburgh's looking after him though. They're about the same size so they get on well. Bamburgh even said he could have one of his old t-shirts. Mummy says she'll make him some clothes of his own soon though.

Mummy knitted a jumper and a scarf for Llechi because it is very cold down the mine and winter's coming and we were worried in case he got poorly. It looks very good on him. It's really his colour. That stripy scarf should keep him warm!
As we were driving from Dragonfest Two to the Carandvan place we had to go over the railway line and we saw a special train that had a steam engine on it.

The castle was very huge but it was raining so we had to find places to shelter like this overhanging bit in the wall. There were lots of corridors and towers and staircases and things as well. It was all very histgoric and exciting.

We stayed in a hotel that didn't have internet but it did have a big tele and we got to watch Merlin while mummy and Unclclecle Kevin went off to have Greek dinner. We called out for pizza because mummy was silly enough to leave her phone behind!

The dragon was in this Merlin episode so it was good!

The end of dragonfest

We've had a great time in Wales. We've been staying with our friend Idris at his cottage in Snowdonia and we got to meet our friend Llechi (that's Welsh for slate and he works in a mine. It was really interesting)

To mark our last night we had a party in the shed and we had the sparkly lights on. Everyone was there. You can watch the slideshow at the top of the page.

More Dragonfest

We're still doing Dragonfest over here in North Wales. We've got this lovely cottage where we're staying with our friend Idris Bach and we had to bring Mummy and Unclclecle Kevin so they can pay for everything.

The view from the window is awesome and it hasn't been raining all the time, but even when it does there's stuff to do. This was all of s trying to see out of the window at the same time. I don't know where Dexter was. I expect he was off doing something good with the others.

We're not all dragons here at Dragonfest. These are the Moos. Well that's just a silly name for them really. Moo is my cousin and the others are Morris and Bill and Rolly. Rolly's the one in the front of the picture. He's from Cardiff so he understands the language round here. You can see Morris's nose and a bit of Bill's eye if you look carefully. The big bald guy is Mitch. He's an orang utan from Michigan who we adopted a couple of years ago. They were all watching TV when this photo was taken. I think they feel a bit left out of Dragonfest but they don't have to. We're friendly.

We even have our own Pink Bunny. The real Pink Bunny is a friend but she couldn't make it to Dragonfest so we got a stand-in for her. It's Rolly's teddy really.

Whenever we travel anywhere we always bring our teddies with us. Winnie the Pooh in the middle used to be mine but when I got my little brother I gave him my teddy and so mummy got me a new one. Mine's the one second from the right. The green one is Mitch's and the tiny one next to it is Bill's. The cow one is Moo's although he's sort of outgrown it now because he's nearly 13 and he says he's too old so he gave it to Morris. Pink Bunny is Rolly's. I'm not sure who owns scarf bear but he always comes with us and we sort of share him around.

The one on the back of the sofa isn't a teddy bear, he's Brian. He's a real bear. But he pretends that he's Dexter's teddy because they both think it's funny. And the other one is Jeffrey Mouse. He's from Merica and used to live in our favourite diner but he came to stay with us a few years back now.

DRAGONFEST!

We have come to Welsh Wales to visit our friend Idris Bach at his cottage in Snowdonia and we are having a dragonfest! We've brought everyone with us because Welsh Wales is the land of the red dragon and we always feel at home here.

On the way we stopped off at somewhere called Rug Chapel only the Welsh Wales people pronounce it 'Rig' because they talk a different language from us. (Although all dragons can understand each other even the Chinese ones)

Rug chapel is very pretty.

There are lots of lovely carvings.

And there was a special plush-sized seat near one of the posh windows.

That's me and Dexter and Mitch (he's not a dragon, he's an orang utan) and my brother Bamburgh.

Round the corner from the chapel was a farm shop like Denstone only Welsh and they had a big cow sculpture so Unclclclecle Kevin took Moo's and Morris's and Bill's and Rolly's picture sitting near it.

Well anyway. We got to the cottage eventually and here we all are with Idris's greeter dragon. (Idris lives in the boiler downstairs)

This is Welton (the big green one) and Nessie (the pink one) and Ginger (the pale blue one) and Marfleet (another green one with yellow bits) and Rhys Ruthin (the big red one) and Dexter (the green one in the blue jumper) and Draby (the purple one) and Ddraig Denbigh (the red one) and Bamburgh in his new black jacket and Me in my new brown pants and Sandy the little guy.

Baa made friends straight away because there are friendly sheep here too.

We are going to have a good holiday.

We went to see the Welsh dragons!

We have been to Wales to see a load of dragons that were on show all over the town. They were HUGE and lots of artists had painted them in different colours.

This one was really spotty. We liked him!

This one ws dark and mysterious. We really liked him.

All of them had this message at the bottom. Unclclecle Kevin thought it would be funny if I sat on it!

More about Red Dragon Land

We travelled a long way on the boat and then we could see Torchwood in the distance. It was very exciting. When we landed we took loads of pictures.

Uncclclele Kevin took photos of Moo everywhere that there's anything to do with Torchwood. He even tried standing on the invisible step that makes Captain Jack disappear but it must have been switched off because we could still see him!

After we went to Torchwood we went for a walk round Cardiff. There's a castle there and it has a really posh wall round it with all animals carved on the top. There were all sorts of animals like lions and bears and stuff and we met some monkeys as well.

After that we went to find a cafe because it was a hot day. Moo really likes Starbucks (though we prefer Costa) and we went and had an icy coffee to cool down.

Actually we had some really good food while we were away because there are lots of good places to eat in Cardiff. We weren't allowed to go to the posh place for Unclclecle Kevin's birthday but we got treated to pizza the day after. It was great because we were sat upstairs and we could watch the man in the kitchen making the pizzas.

And Mummy said we would do like we did when we went to N'York and we wouldn't have breakfast in the hotel but we'd go out to find something to eat and that was good because on the last day we found a pancake place and we had yummy pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. We like Red Dragon Land!
